The Simplex Hinge Screw works in conjunction with the range of Simplex Hinges, fitted to the bottom Sash Window and when in operation will sit in the U of the Simplex Hinge to allow the Window to swing inwards for, maintenance of the outside window, or as a possible fire escape.
This type of window system is a mandatory requirement on all windows above ground floor in Scotland.

To complement our range of Barrel Sash Stops, the new Solid Sash Stop is ideal for use on a window used as a Fire Escape, the longer length of this Sash Stop at 31mm allows the Stop to clear the depth of the Meeting Rail allowing you to open the Sash Stop with your fingers as no Key is required allowing for a quicker escape.Security is maintained whilst still allowing the window to be slightly open for ventilation, 2 inserts are supplied allowing you to have two locking positions.The Sash Stop is a non-load bearing product and therefore not subject to any requirements on CE marking for safety devices on Windows.The Inserts are fitted with a 5mm Allen Key, speeding up the process of fitting as it allows you to use a power tool. This Insert is also open ended to provide a more durable plating, which gives better protection.

We have 2 new Sash Cords to provide an alternative to the Wax and Nylon Sash Cords.
A Red Spot Bleached Cotton Sash Cord supplied in 10m hanks or 100m coils.
The Traditional Red Spot cords provide excellent over Pulley and in resisting abrasion.
Available in the following sizes:
6mm diameter (Breaking Load 85kg)
7mm diameter (Breaking Load 110kg)
8mm diameter (Breaking Load 125kg)
A Polyester 8 Plait Sash Cord supplied in 10m hanks or 100m coils.
The Polyester cords have a high tenacity a low stretch man made with fibre.
They are Rot and Mildew Proof with full UV degradation resistance.
Available in the following sizes:
6mm (Breaking Load 380kg)
8mm (Breaking Load 770kg)
