The Cord Plug holds the sash cord knot in place inside the sash box, it is easily removed to allow the Simplex Window System to operate.
Manufactured at 31mm DIA for ease of fitting, when using the more cheaper and more easily available 32mm drill bit, however most manufacturers make the Cord Plug at 30mm DIA, it is then possible for the plug to jar holding the window solid.
This type of window system is a mandatory requirement on all windows above ground floor in Scotland.
