This 28mm barrel sash stop is our standard and most popular barrel sash stop, we also supply our standard sash stop in a 19mm THD195 version. Barrel sash stops allow the window to be shut in two positions on the sash window as it is supplied with two threaded inserts, the inserts can be positioned on the side style of the top sash, the first fitted close to the meeting rail , when the barrel if fitted in this insert this will keep the window shut in the closed position , the second insert can be fitted approximately 10cm higher to allow the window to be opened for ventilation, when the barrel is fitted in this insert the window will not pass any further than this insert, we also supply a striker plate (bruise plate) fitted directly under the first insert on the top of the bottom sash, this will protect your window from the barrel.
